Hematite Included Rose Quartz Sphere with Asterism

A fascinating 127g Rose Quartz sphere with natural Hematite inclusions and asterism, combining soft pink quartz with striking rusty-red mineral inclusions visible within the stone.

This sphere is packed with natural character. Areas of reddish Hematite sit suspended within the Rose Quartz alongside internal veils and inclusions, while direct lighting reveals a beautiful asterism effect across the polished surface.

The combination makes this a particularly interesting Rose Quartz specimen, with its appearance changing considerably depending on the angle and lighting.

Geological Information

• Mineral: Rose Quartz with Hematite inclusions
• Mineral Group: Quartz
• Quartz Composition: Silicon dioxide (SiO₂)
• Inclusions: Hematite (iron oxide)
• Hardness: 7 on the Mohs scale
• Form: Polished sphere

Rose Quartz is the pink variety of quartz. In this specimen, reddish iron-rich Hematite inclusions create distinctive areas of deeper red and rusty pink within the crystal.

The sphere also displays asterism under concentrated light. This optical effect occurs when light interacts with oriented microscopic inclusions within the quartz, producing bands or star-like reflections across the polished surface.

Metaphysical Properties

Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with:

• Love and emotional connection
• Self-love and compassion
• Emotional balance
• Gentleness and reassurance

Hematite is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and protection. Together, the two minerals are often chosen by those seeking a balance between Rose Quartz's heart-centred symbolism and Hematite's grounding associations.

Piece Details

This exact sphere weighs 127g and features a soft dusty-pink Rose Quartz body with distinctive reddish Hematite inclusions running through the stone.

Under direct concentrated light, the sphere also reveals natural asterism, adding another optical feature to an already unusual little piece.

Natural inclusions, internal veils, fractures and variations in colour are part of the formation and individual character of the crystal.
